Batteries: Priming, Reconditioning and Care

Whether you’re prepping for a global disaster or just want to save money on batteries, there is a lot of information out there about a lot of different kinds of batteries. I’m currently racing against a ticking battery life countdown right now as I type this. My laptop battery is having issues holding a charge which means it’s time to recondition it. I’ll try to get this done before I have to run in the bedroom and drag the cord out and plug it in. This battery probably could have been in better shape if I had taken proper care of it since I’ve had it, but since I’ve learned the steps to recondition the battery, I can do that and then ensure I treat it properly from now on.

Uses For Old T-Shirts

One of the first and easiest steps in decluttering is to go through your clothes and get rid of anything you don’t need anymore. Of course items that are still wearable can be donated to allow someone else to get use out of them, but what about all those old t-shirts that are stained and have holes in them? I like to keep one or two just as work shirts. When I have some painting to do or have to repair the fence and need to dig a hole. Otherwise, these items can leave my drawer in order to make space for other, more useful items. Don’t just toss them in the trash though. A Greener Way To Remodel

There are so many easy ways to increase the environmental friendliness of your home, many being cheap or even free, that going green has become pretty simple. Changing bulbs as they burn out to more efficient, longer lasting LED bulbs. Lowering your thermostat by 3 degrees in the winter. Lowering the temperature of your hot water heater by a few degrees. Swapping out your shower head for one that uses less gallons per minute. If you incorporate one of these things a week for an entire year, you will save money and your home will be so much greener. Ten Ways To Recycle Used Coffee Grounds

Are you filling up your garbage with coffee grounds, sending them to the landfill? Well don’t. There are so many uses for used coffee grounds it’s ridiculous. I’m going to talk about just 10 of these useful ideas here, but do a google search and you’ll find many more.
